Finally an educator (PGCE, PGDE-i, IBEC)
Teachers spend a great deal of time asking questions. Sometimes those questions are directed at students. Most of the times, they’re directed at ourselves.
This little corner of the internet grew out of the latter.
As an English teacher, I find myself collecting moments. A line from Shakespeare that suddenly makes sense in today’s world. A research paper that changes how I think about learning. A conversation in class that refuses to leave my mind.
These aren’t random observations. They’re connected by a quiet curiosity about how we learn to read, think, write and make sense of the world.
That’s what you’ll find here.
Some posts explore literature. Others wander into educational research, classroom practice, artificial intelligence, psychology or history. Occasionally, they begin with something as ordinary as a lesson, a news headline or a conversation with a student. Wherever they start, they usually end in the same place: with a better question than the one I began with.
I don’t claim to have all the answers.
I’m simply taking notes as I learn.
